The 3rd annual
Antibes Yacht Show (AYS)
took place in Port Vauban,
Antibes 2-5 April 2009. After a rainy start Friday morning, the
show enjoyed fine weather and good attendance. The AYS
heralds the opening of the Mediterranean yachting season.
Along over one kilometre of quays, stretching from the foot of the city Ramparts via the Bastion St Jaume and all the way to the legendary Billionaires’ Quay, visitors admired a selection of the finest yachts on the market, some up to 80m long. The Antibes Yacht Show attracts exhibitors from all sectors (brokers, equipment and tender suppliers, interior designers, the media and sponsors), and hosts festive events on board the yachts, at exhibition stands and in the prestigious venues around the marina. For the first time this year, the AYS has its own TV channel, 'Antibes Yacht Show Television'. It aired live on large screens around the show and on the Internet on the AYS website.
