leading in-water exhibition, held in a

Gucci to offer $750,000 luxury
speedboat with Italian yacht-builder Riva

Gucci, the Italian luxury brand owned by Paris-based PPR SA, said it will introduce made-to- order
speedboats next year, with prices starting from
€590,000. The vessels will be produced in
partnership with yacht- builder Riva to help mark
Gucci’s 90th anniversary in 2011. With a length of
33 feet, the Aquariva by Gucci has two
380-horsepower Yanmar engines with a maximum speed
of 41 knots and a 150-mile range at cruising speed.
The boat was unveiled at the International Cannes
Boat show yesterday and will be presented on Sept.
22 during Milan fashion week, Gucci said.

Feadship makes debut at Cannes

Feadship has announced that it will be attending the
Cannes International Yacht and Boat Show for the
first time. The world’s leading luxury motoryacht
builder will feature one of its latest launches, the
39-meter Go. After wowing the crowds in Cannes from
8 to 13 September, Go will then join other larger
yachts in the Feadship fleet at the Monaco show. The
third yacht in Feadship’s pioneering SL39 modular
concept, Go is every inch a customized superyacht
above the waterline. Her archetypal Feadship
exterior profile has been designed by De Voogt Naval
Architects, while the relatively modern interior
comes from FPA Architects.

Fairline releases plans for Targo 44 Open

plans to launch a twin cabin, twin en-suite Targa 44 Open
alongside the latest hard-top Targa 44 GRAN TURISMO model. Prior

Blancpain 500 Fathoms for Cannes 2009

Declare Results At Festival

Ferretti Group presented preliminary
2009 results for the nautical year
ending at 31st August 2009. Although the
year was characterised by a particularly
negative macro-economic situation, the
Group performed better compared to the
nautical market trend. As at 31st August
2009 the Ferretti Group registered
preliminary revenues of around 800
million Euro. This result, although less
than 12% down compared to the 900
million Euro registered on 31st August
2008, is better than the one achieved by
the nautical market on average, which
registered a drop of between 20% and
30%, over the last year.

Couach to focus on
made to measure megayachts

taken over by a French industrial
entrepreneur, the historic French
Shipyard Couach Yachts, now called
Chantier Naval Couach - CNC, is aiming
at the super and mega yacht markets by
reinforcing its position on made to
measure units ranging from 30 to 50
meters, in the purest tradition of
French craftsmanship “Yacht Couture”.
The
shipyard will also be launching a new
model on the market next season, the
2300 Fly, in order to maintain a link
with its historic clientele and continue
to produce a start of the range yacht.

Bikini Queen 2 will be on

Show. The 41.15 metre superyacht was
built at the Premier Shipyard of Horizon

Antibes Yacht Show (AYS)
took place in Port Vauban,
Antibes 2-5 April 2009. After a rainy start Friday morning, the
show enjoyed fine weather and good attendance. The AYS
