Feadship's new yacht design concept,
Aeon, was recently unveiled at the 2009
Monaco Yacht Show. Aeon is the latest in
the Future Concept Feadship range which
includes the X-Stream in 2006, the
F-Stream in 2007 and the C-Stream
concept unveiled in 2008.

over 500 companies showcasing their
latest creations, their innovations and
100 of the world’s loveliest yachts, in
Monaco. Over the course of the weekend,
the Monaco Yacht Show expects to receive
over 30,000 participants.
Demand for
superyachts on the rise

Demand for the world's largest, most
expensive yachts is on the rise ahead of
the Monaco Yacht Show this week. "We've
gotten the strongest forward order book
that we've ever had. It's the best
outlook we've ever had since we've
started the company," said Toby Allies,
Sales and Marketing Director for
Pendennis, a leading British
manufacturer and re-fitter of
superyachts.

Monaco's Wally
reveals joint venture with Hermès

Monegasque luxury yacht builder
Wally has teamed up with French fashion
house Hermès to create WHY, Wally Hermès
Yachts, and unveil a full-size model of
its first creation. The full-size model
of the 'revolutionary' 58m (190ft) long,
38m (125ft) wide yacht will be presented
at the operation's Ancona shipyard on
Italy's Adriatic coast. Headquartered in
Monaco, Wally builds motor and sailing
yachts up to superyacht size.

luxury yachts waiting for the financial
tides to turn, while canceled orders
have left many boat builders struggling.

builders have felt buffeted, the mood at
the top end of the market is very
different — as reflected in the
unveiling by leading luxury brands of
two new yachts at the start of the
Monaco Yacht Show this week.
