Following his
Fragments project that received
global media attention, Monaco based
Canadian sculptor
Blake
reveals a new series of marble sculptures at
Art Monaco '10. With his
Fragments project (see video clip,) Blake poignantly applied the classical partial body form to
benefit a cause that aims to avoid the further maiming of bodies
caused by the legacy of landmines, left behind long after armed
conflicts have been resolved. Following recent successful
exhibitions in London and New York, Blake's elegant new series
sculptured in Carrara marble, will be
exhibited at
Art Monaco '10 Contempoary Art Salon
in the Grimaldi Forum 29 Apr - 02 May 10. Blake is
represented by
Kehrig Fine Art.

A new set of marble sculptures by Monaco based sculptor,
Blake, is set to be unveiled at the Monaco Art Fair at the
Grimaldi Forum, in Monte Carlo, April 29th until May 2nd.
It's presented by Kehrig Fine Art. Blake, who's previous
exhibitions include the much acclaimed ‘Fragments' -
inspired by landmine victims - brings a contemporary feel to
sculptures that ‘evoke art-historical precedents from
Ancient Greece and Rome through the Italian Renaissance and
France in the 19th and early 20th centuries'. Mike
Kalder.
